Howard Andrus

Opelousas Funeral services for Howard J. Andrus, age 82, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, with a service in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Father Austin Leger will officiate the service.

Howard enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved being with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his children Larry Andrus, Sr. of Port Barre, Geraldine Andrus, of Port Barre, David Andrus and wife, Glenda of Opelousas, Charlene and husband, Darrell Savoy, of Port Barre Allen Andrus and wife, Vickie of Opelousas, brother, Franklin Andrus of Port Barre, eleven grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Londen and Beulah Martin Andrus, wife, Marie Elise Andrus, brother, Raymond Andrus, sisters, Eula Mae Andrus, Rose Elma Andrus Duplechain, Belinda Andrus Duhon, two grandchildren, Larry J. Andrus Jr. and Lil Ronnie Dickson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Wednesday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

A Rosary service will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
