MelvilleA Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Catholic Church of Melville at 1:30 pm on Monday, October 8, 2012. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Johns Cemetery with Fr. James Nguyen officiating.
It is with great sadness that the family of Houston Boudreaux, age 89, announces his passing on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Senior Village home. He was a resident of Melville, LA. He worked as a carpenter for Baton Rouge Carpenter Union 1098. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and a friend that will be sadly missed. Mr. Houston was an avid hunter, and fisherman and loved gardening. He was a Navy WW II Vet.
He leaves behind his loving children, Patricia Boudreaux Regan and her husband, Steve of Lafayette, Pauline Boudreaux Freeman of Dallas TX., Gerald Joseph Boudreaux and his wife, Kristy of Melville, his brothers, Gilbert Boudreaux of Alexandria, Daniel Boudreaux of Melville, and Veron Ledoux of Opelousas, his sisters, Ezen Landreneau of Melville, Geraldine Ledoux of Simmesport, LA, and Vernice Ledoux of Melville. His memory will most certainly be cherished by his ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Louis Boudreaux Sr., and Emelide Schexnayder Ledoux, his loving wife, Mrs. Eva Duplechain Boudreaux, one daughter, Gail Artall.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Lafond Funeral Home of Melville beginning at 9:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be Mark Artall, Chris Artall, David Moore, Ryan Artall, Chad Boudreaux, and Brandon Viator.
