Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Homer Wayne Wyble, known to many as Wayne, age 71, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas. Fr. Angelo Cremaldi will celebrate the Mass. Readers will be his daughter, Wendy and daughterinlaw, Jennifer. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park.
He passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at his residence in Opelousas. To those who knew him, his humility, good reputation, words of wisdom and kindnesses proceed himthose who did not know him missed so much.
Waynes jobs consisted of Wybles JP4 Ranch, Fred J. Wyble Oilfield Construction, Opelousas Concrete, Offshore Processing Service, Little Teche Farms, Farm Power and Fakouri Plumbing. His familys We 7 Angus Farm was his passion.
After graduation from the Academy of the Immaculate Conception in 1955, he attended LSU where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science.
Leadership abilities of Wayne were realized when he served on Boards such as: the American Angus Assn. Board where he served as Treasurer and Vice President, Certified Angus Beef Board, LA Angus Assn. President, LSU Junior Division Advisory Board, Acadiana Livestock Show Governing Board, St. Landry Livestock Show and Belmont Academy Board.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Baquet Wyble and their five children, Mark Wyble Evelyn from St. Joseph, MO, Wendy Napoli Dean from Baton Rouge, Sharon Branson Craig from Breaux Bridge, Shawn Wyble Alyssa from League City, TX, and Matt Wyble Jennifer from Baton Rouge thirteen grandchildren: Morgan Wyble, David Wyble, Stephen Wyble, Logan Napoli, Kelsie Napoli, Katie Napoli, Tyler Branson, Mary Branson, Rachel Branson, Dane Wyble, Michel Wyble, Allie Wyble, and Ian Wyble one brother, Fred A. Wyble from Opelousas and two sisters: Mary Faith Thomasee of Wichita Falls, TX, and Lorna Sue Miller of Opelousas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred J. Wyble and Beulah Carriere Wyble and one sister, Amaryllis Ann Wyble.
Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Saturday, visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home.
In lieu of Flowers the family request that Masses be offered for his soul.
