Holly Lorraine DeJean, born on September 28, 1957, in Opelousas, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her residence in Port Barre, Louisiana, on March 4, 2025. Holly lived a life filled with purpose, compassion, and creativity.
A dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Holly poured her heart into her work. Throughout her numerous years of service at Tri-Community Nursing Home, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, and UMC Hospital, she made a significant impact on the lives of countless patients. One of her proudest moments came when she saved a man's life, an act of bravery that earned her an award. Holly's commitment to nursing not only demonstrated her professional skill but also her deep-seated desire to help others in their times of need.
Outside of her nursing career, Holly possessed a vibrant spirit and engaged in a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She had a particular passion for collecting dollhouse miniatures, which showcased her attention to detail and creativity. Whether it was piecing together puzzles, diving into a good book, or becoming engrossed in her favorite TV drama shows, Holly found fulfillment in the little pleasures of life. Her love for dogs was evident, and she cherished the time spent with her pets. Perhaps most importantly, Holly delighted in the company of her grandchildren, cherishing every moment, and creating lasting memories.

Holly is preceded in death by her parents, Al Joseph LeJeune & Norma Elaine Fahrmann LeJeune; and her dog Graci.
The legacy Holly leaves behind is one of love, service, and creativity. She will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her and experience the warmth and kindness she freely shared throughout her life.
