Hilda Thibodeaux

Port Barre Funeral services for Mrs. Hilda Richard Thibodeaux will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre, LA. Rev. Father Daniel Picard will officiate the services.

Hilda was a native of Arnaudville, a past longtime resident of Port Barre, and was currently residing in Rayne. She passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at her home at the age of 71. She was a homemaker and a caretaker for many years. She was a wonderful, loving, and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include three daughters, Cynthia Romero and husband, Elias of Rayne Lori Malbrew and husband, Ike of Rayne and Linda Richard of Port Barre and her grandchildren: Julie Bergeron, Brandon Vanderhider, Sabrina Doucet, Bryson Lalonde, Chance Menard, Cade Romero, and Louis Clyde Bergeron, Jr. deceased. She also has a host of special grandchildren and greatgrandchildren that were honored to call her Grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald P. Thibodeaux parents, Hugo Richard and Elodie Lagrange Richard brothers, Felix Richard, Sr. Edwin Richard, and John Berchman Richard sisters, Germaine Richard, Olivia Allemond, Evelyn Savoie, and Lorena Barron and halfbrothers, Aurthur Richard, Sr. Steve Richard, Hugo Richard, Jr. and Alcee Richard.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Monday, September 3, 2012, from 11 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home.
