Hilda Credeur Boudreaux

Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Hilda Credeur Boudreaux, age 85, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. John Catholic Church in Lewisburg. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery in Lewisburg.

Father Jeff Deblanc will celebrate the Mass.

Mrs. Boudreaux was a native of Vatican and a longtime resident of Opelousas. She died on Sunday, January 27, 2008, in Doctor's Hospital of Opelousas. She was homemaker and a very devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

Survivors include four sons: Fred Boudreaux, Robert Boudreaux and wife, Kathy, Placide Boudreaux, and Leon Boudreaux and wife, Karen, all of Opelousas; two daughters: Claudette Gordon of Oakdale and Cynthia Quebedeaux of Sulphur; sister, Hazel Collins of Opelousas; brother, Percy Credeur of Opelousas; grandchildren: Nichole Perry, Dodie Daniels, Jay Jay Quebedeaux, Bridget Vidrine, Randall Gordon, Mandi Douglas, Ashley Quebedeaux, Kristy Boudreaux, Courtney Devillier, and Mikey Boudreaux; and Great-grandchildren: Kathryn and Emma Perry, Josh and Timothy Townley, Dallas and D. J. Daniels, Jayden and Colton Quebedeaux, Seth and Ava Douglas, Macie Drost, and Allie Devillier. She also has a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Randall Gordon, Mikey Boudreaux, Josh Townley, Bryant Collins, Joe Soileau, Gerard Labbe, and Eric Douglas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Timothy Townley and Seth Douglas.

Mrs. Boudreaux was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Boudreaux; sister, Cecile Benoit; daughter-in-law, Emily Boudreaux; and son-in-law, Boots Gordon; and her parents: Leon Credeur and Josephine Brasseaux Credeur.

Visiting hours will be observed on Monday, January 28, 2008, from 2-10 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Tuesday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of services.

A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home.
