Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Ethel Sis Guilbeau Schwartzenburg, 88,

will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2006, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel and entombment will follow in the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum in Opelousas.

Msgr. Louis Melancon will conduct the services.

Mrs. Sis passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2006, at 12:35 a.m. in the Doctors Hospital of Opelousas. She was a native of Port Barre and a lifelong resident of Opelousas. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and needlepoint. Most of her time was spent as a homemaker and caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Schwartzenburg is survived by one son, Carl V. Schwartzenburg and wife, Patricia Pat of Opelousas; five daughters: Rebecca Becky Tucker and husband, Danny of Opelousas; Jenny Ledoux and husband, Leonard of Opelousas; Patsy Bullara and husband, Jimmy of Opelousas; Connie Benoit and husband, Curt of Washington; and Peggy Bambrick and husband, Bill of Austin, TX; one daughter-in-law, , Kathleen Dufilho Schwartzenburg wife of the late Donald Schwartzenburg of Opelousas; 15 grandchildren: Carl Corey Schwartzenburg and wife, Nicole of Lafayette; Kelly S. Barstow and husband, Tracy of Cecilia; Monica Jill Watson and husband, Jerry of Marble Falls, TX; Andrew L. Schwartzenburg and wife, Penn of Lafayette; Donna Lynn Breaux and husband, Greg of Kenner; Sean Tucker and wife, Stephanie of Carencro; Dana Borrel of Opelousas; Jan Vernon Ledoux and, Kimberly of Opelousas; Marylee Kayce and husband, Adam of West Virginia; Felecia Bullara of Opelousas; Misty LeDoux and husband, Chad of Opelousas; Jamie Speyrer and husband, Justin of Opelousas; Nicole Ford and husband, Ryan of Scott; Courtney Fontenot of Washington; and Alex Benoit of Sunset; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Schwartzenburg; one son, Donald Louis Schwartzenburg; her parents: Foster and Virginia Moreau Guilbeau; and a brother, Elridge Guilbeau.

Pallbearers will be Sean Tucker, Andy Schwartzenburg, Jan Ledoux, Corey Schwartzenburg, Ryan Ford and Chad LeDoux. Honorary Pallbearer will be Bill Moreau of Dayton, TX.

Visitation will be held at the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, September 29, 2006, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Saturday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
