Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Guillory Pitre, 79, will be held at St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville on Tuesday March 20, 2007. Service time is currently pending. Interment will follow in the St. Leo Catholic Church Cemetery in Leonville.

Reverend Howard Blessing will conduct the services.

Mrs. Helen G. Pitre, a native of Washington and resident of Opelousas, died at 9:30AM Monday, March 19, 2007 at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville.

Survivors include: husband Rufus Pitre of Arnaudville; step mother, Alice Guillory of Washington; 2 sons, John Ray Lalonde and wife Lorna Huval Lalonde of Cecilia and Kenneth Lalonde of Opelousas; three daughters, Mary Susie Bergeron and husband Joseph Jay Bergeron of Leonville,

Darlene Theriot of Youngsville, and Melissa Pepitone of Leonville; 4 brothers, Eric Guillory of Washington, Nathan Guillory of Stafford, VA, Wayne Guillory of Washington and Dwight Guillory of Arnaudville; 2 sisters, Norma Jean Soileau of Washington and Charlene Johnson of Lobdell; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Mrs. Pitre was preceded in death by her parents Simon and Mary Elaine Smith Guillory.

Visiting hours will be observed from 10:00AM to 10:00PM on Monday, March 19, 2007 and reopen at 8:00AM on Tuesday in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas ... A rosary time is currently pending.
