Funeral services for Helen Fontenot Myers, 81, will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, December 9, 2006, in St. Thomas Catholic Church in Palmetto followed by interment in the church cemetery.

Reverend Nguyn will officiate and the Reverend Jose will concelebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.

Helen Fontenot Myers, a resident of Opelousas, died on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mrs. Myers was a graduate of Eunice High School. She was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Palmetto where she served faithfully on the Ladies Altar Society.

Survivors include: son, Keith Gerard Myers and wife Ginger Morain Myers of Sunset; brother, George Fontenot of Lawtell; sister, Alma Reed of Opelousas; five grandchildren, Brandon Myers of Opelousas, Brach Myers and wife Carly of Arnaudville, Elliot Venable and wife Lainie of Lafayette, Chelsea and Hunter Myers of Sunset; two great granddaughters, Ainsley and Emma Myers.
