Ms. Helen was a resident of Opelousas and on Friday, April 4, 2014 was called home to be with Our Lord and Savior. Helen was a woman of God, a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. To have met Helen was to love her. She loved nothing more than her family except the Lord. Our hearts ache for our tremendous loss, as she rejoices in Heaven at the feet of Jesus with the loved ones that have gone on before her.

Helen was a happy, vibrate, active and loving woman. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family baking, making desserts and playing and being with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She did anything and everything she needed to in making her family happy. She loved to play dodge ball and Yahtzee with them and bake her famous brownies. During her quiet alone time, Helen enjoyed sitting and reading her Bible and spending time with Jesus. Her faith was an inspiration to us all and we can only strive to have an undying faith in Christ as Helen did. As we lay her to rest, we do not say goodbye we say until we meet again.

Survivors include her daughter, Garnett W. Menard of Opelousas four grandchildren, Scott Menard, Tammie, Stacie Edmond, Guy, Mark Menard, Alison, and Norman Menard, Jr., Ashley 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Ledoux parents, Raymond and Shirley Brown Wenk sister, Mary Adkins soninlaw Norman Menard and 2 great grandchildren.
