Helen Kidder

Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Cormier Kidder, age 91, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2014, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Deacon Sammy Diesi will conduct the services.
Mrs. Helen was a native of Carencro and longtime residence of Opelousas. She died on Friday, February 28, 2014, in the Dauterive Hospital of New Iberia. She was a parishioner at St. Landry Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include one son, Gerald James Kidder and wife, Janice of Opelousas one brother, Edward Cormier of Carencro 4 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Yves Kidder her parents, Gaston Cormier and Virginia Meche Cormier one brother, Larry Cormier and one sister, Joyce Ivy.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, March 2, 2014, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The rosary service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Funeral Home.
