OPELOUSAS - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Helen Guilbeaux Torres Gautreaux, age 73, on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Fr. Gregory Semien will celebrate the Mass. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.
Helen enjoyed painting and gardening in her spare time. She was a wonderful and loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother that will be sadly missed. And host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Survivors include her loving husband of thirteen years, Louis "Bob" Gautreaux of Opelousas, son, Cecil Dupré and his wife, Ruth of Opelousas, step children, Jackie Landry and husband Gary from Henderson, Kevin Gautreaux and wife Dana from Lafayette, Roland Robin, Cecilia, Angie Spallino and her husband, Bryan of Lafayette, Enrique Torres of Lafayette, and Vanessa Hulin and husband, Kevin of Carencro, brothers, Ashton Guilbeaux and friend Brenda Jens of Opelousas, and Hilton Guilbeaux and wife, Sue of Opelousas, sister, Gertrude Guilbeaux and husband, John Huey Thibodeaux of Lewisburg, two grandchildren, Blake Dupré and fiancé Maureen Childers, Kristina Dunnam and husband Gary, step grandson, Nicholas Lalonde and wife Wendy of Leonville, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and eight step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Saul and Theresa Guilbeaux, son Christopher Dupré, sisters Jeanette Guilbeaux Bellard, Ruby Guilbeaux Carriere, Eurella Guilbeaux Arnaud, brother, Errol Guilbeaux, great grandson, Corbin Christopher Dupré, first husband and father of her children, Floyd Dupré and step son, Kenneth Robin.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017 until time of service.
