Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie M. Williamson, 95, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA.
Rev. J. E. Prather and Rev. Barron Harris will conduct the services.
Mrs. Williamson was a native of Merryville and a past resident of Opelousas for 56 years. She was currently residing in Baton Rouge and died at 2:25 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2007, in The Baton Rouge Hospice. She was a bookkeeper and worked for several businesses in Opelousas during her career.
Survivors include one daughter, Winona Baham and husband, Bob of Baton Rouge; and two grandchildren: Rhonda and Rex Henderson of Katy, TX; and Stacey and Mark Horne of Nashville, TN; six great grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey A. Williamson; one granddaughter, Cynthia Baham Lebert; five brothers: Richard, Houston, Mitchell, Walker, and Samuel Rowell; two sisters: Leila Rowell Harris and Edna Rowell; and her parents: Tom Rowell and Mary Alice Lazarde Rowell.
