Harris Horace Lanclos
Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Harris Horace Lanclos, age 69, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2008, in the St. Landry Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. A Military service will be conducted at the graveside following the committal services. Msgr. Robert Romero will celebrate the Mass.
Mr. Lanclos was a native and long time resident of Opelousas. He passed away at 5:19 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at the V. A. Hospital in Alexandria. He was a butcher in the grocery store business for many years. He was also a U. S. NAVY Veteran who proudly served his country.
Survivors include three sons: Bobby Dwayne Lanclos; Lonnie James Lanclos and wife, Rachel; and Mitchel Lanclos and wife, Gwen; all of Eunice; two daughters: Constance Baham and husband, John of Eunice; and Michelle Owen and husband, Trenton of Alexandria; brothers: Harry Lanclos and wife, Leona of Notleyville; Herbert Lanclos of Opelousas; Murphy Allen Lanclos and wife, Vergie of Opelousas; Adolph Lanclos, Jr. and wife, Mary Ann of Sunset; Elton Patrick Michael Lanclos and wife, Gloria of Lawtell; three sisters: Rita Henson and husband, Frank of Paducah, Kentucky; Freida Cason and husband, David of Paducah, Kentucky; and Beverly Bernard and husband, Lester of Church Point; and 11 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents: Adolph Lanclos, Sr. and Constance Bergeron Lanclos.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, July 17, 2008, from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. On Friday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
A Rosary service will be held on Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
