A proud graduate of Amy Bradford Ware School, Greg had a notable career as an operator in the oilfield industry. His professional accomplishments were only matched by his personal dedication to the relationships he nurtured throughout his life. Gregory was a loving husband to Juliet Duplechain Valin, with whom he shared a profound bond, and together they cultivated a home richly filled with love and joy.
He held deep affection for his children, Lance Gregory Valin and his wife Jade of Port Barre and Lacy Valin LeJeune and her husband Brandon of Port Barre, and reveled in the moments spent with his grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Camille, and Saige Valin, as well as Evan, Della, and Philip LeJeune. Each moment watching them play sports brought him immense pride and happiness.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juliet; his mother, Yvonne Devillier Valin; his brother, Tory James Valin of Gonzales, LA; and his sister, Toria Valin Comeaux of Port Barre, and his mother in law, Rena Prudhomme Duplechain of Port Barre. He cherished family members and friends will carry forward the memories of his nurturing spirit and the joy he brought into their lives.
Beyond his devotion to family, Greg enjoyed a variety of pastimes including hunting, fishing, skiing, camping, boating, and supporting local sports, particularly LSU football and baseball. His vibrant presence and warmth were felt not just by his immediate family but also by friends and community members.
As a member of the Knights of Columbus, Greg took great pride in serving his community and living out the values that the organization espouses. His commitment to family, friends, and community defined his life and legacy.
Greg is preceded in death by his father, Gene C. Valin; his grandparents, Louis and Della Valin, and Leo and Bessie Devillier; and his father-in-law, Earl Duplechain.
