Grace Roy

Opelousas-Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Grace LeBlanc Roy will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Landry Catholic Church of Opelousas, LA. Fr. James Brady will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.

Mrs. Roy was a native of Grand Coteau and a resident of Opelousas. She died on May 26, 2016, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She enjoyed reading, playing Solitaire, gardening, and cooking. She also cherished spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Alban Soileau of Opelousas; and Roy Del Soileau and wife, Lisa of Opelousas; grandchildren, Nicole Devillier and husband, Steven of Opelousas; Monique Fruge and husband, Rufus of Lawtell; Jessica Breaux and husband, Russell of Port Barre; Amanda Wheeler and husband, Jared of Opelousas; and Samuel Soileau and wife, Ashley of Port Barre; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her dog, "Precious Angel."

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel LeBlanc and Ava Kidder.

Pallbearers will be Steven Devilllier, Rufus Fruge, Russell Breaux, Ricky Brown, Mark Stoute, and Mitchell Devillier. Honorary pallbearers will be Alban Soileau, Roy Del Soileau, and Alex Savage.

Visitation and viewing will begin on Friday, May 27, 2016, beginning at 3:00 p.m. with an all-night wake until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home.
