Gloria Marks

Opelousas-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, in the St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville for, Gloria Marks. Fr. Ken Domingue will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Gloria was a resident of Opelousas. She passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Opelousas General Health System, at the age of 78. Gloria enjoyed her family, antiques, shopping and cooking.

Survivors include sons, Michael Marks and wife, Audrey of Leonville, and Randal Marks of Opelousas, daughter, Monica Lafleur and husband, Rickey of Opelousas, 5 brothers and 4 sisters, nine grandchildren, Corey Broussard, Sherrie Marks, Eve Gardner, Michelle Marks, Joseph Marks, Jeremy Broussard, Jamie Jeansonne, Christian Marks, Rickey Lafleur, Jr. and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Marks, daughter, Diana Broussard, parents Yves and Cora Lalonde, and brother, Roland Lalonde.

Pallbearers will be, Corey Broussard, Joseph Marks, Jeremy Broussard, Rickey Lafleur, Jr., Shawn Trahan, and Holden Broussard.

The visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening in the funeral home. On Wednesday, visitation will continue at 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home.
