Gloria Jackson

New Orleans Funeral services for Mrs. Gloria Clark Jackson., 76, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2008, in the Suburban Baptist Church in New Orleans. Interment will follow in the Providence Park Cemetery in Metairie. Rev. Johnny Jones will officiate the services.

Mrs. Gloria was a native and long-time resident of New Orleans. She was currently residing in Katy, TX. She passed from this life on Saturday, December 13, 2008, in Oschner Hospital in Baton Rouge.

Survivors include three sons: Benjamin P. Jackson wife, Sonta J. Jackson of Memphis, TN: Bruce R. Jackson of Katy, TX; and Ronald J. Jackson wife, Shirley Jackson of New Orleans; three daughters: Lois A. Hampton of Katy TX; Janice J. Lee husband, James S. Lee of Katy, TX; and Myrna M. Johnson husband, Elbert G. Johnson, Jr. of Harvey, LA; three brothers: Lawrence Broussard and wife, Helen of Picayune, Mississippi; Harold Broussard, Sr. and wife, Myrtle of New Orleans; and Carl Clark and wife, Marie of Opelousas; two sisters: Betty Odoms of New Orleans; and Jessie Alexander of Chicago, Illinios; grandchildren: Miguel Amedee, Odel Amedee, Joshua Lee, Crystal Jackson, and Joy Lee; and great-grandchildren: Miguel Russell, Shandell Moses, and Ava Lee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Jackson, Jr.; her parents: Jacob Josephine Clark; and brothers: Hubert Clark and Ernest Broussard.

Visiting hours will be observed on Friday, December 19, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in the Suburban Baptist Church, 10501 Chef Menteur Highway, New Orleans, LA.
