OPELOUSAS- A Memorial Service will be held for, Mr. Glenn Rozas, on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas; with visitation starting at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Benny Reppond will conduct the service.
Mr. Rozas, age 68, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Rozas served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1969 until 1971. He earned a National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14) during his time in the Army. Following his time in the service he worked as a professional truck driver for over 35 years; where he also received numerous awards for road safety. Mr. Rozas enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family. Those close to him would agree that he was also a huge sports fan. One of his favorite pastimes was watching his favorite football team, the LSU Tigers. Mr. Rozas will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janine Rozas of Opelousas; daughters, Angela Guillory and husband, Ted of Opelousas, Rachael Hodges and husband, Jeremiah of Cypress, TX, Christina Rozas Pritt of Opelousas, Erin Carter and husband, David of Opelousas; brother, Nicky Rozas and wife, Betty of Sunset; sister, Linda Lagrange of Arnaudville; and 12 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Curtis Rozas and Lou Ella Brown Rozas; sister, Bobbie Lynn Quattlebaum; and daughter, Beverly Jean Rozas.
