Port Barre- Funeral services for Gladys Quebedeaux Hebert, age 74, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2009, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Father Nicky Trahan will celebrate the Mass of Christian burial.

Mrs. Gladys was born in Port Barre and was a resident of Fordoche. She died on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. She was a housewife and enjoyed cooking and caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be sadly missed by all.

Cherishing her memories are one daughter, Carolyn Carol Hebert Hayes of Baton Rouge; two brothers: Welton and LeRoy Quebedeaux, both of Port Barre; two sisters: Jean Marks of Opelousas; and Sable Arnaud of Lavonia; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Hebert; parents: Joseph and Gladys Quebedeaux; one daughter, Brenda Gail Hebert; and one son, Jimmy Patrick Hebert.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, July 31, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
