Gilbert Auzenne

Leonville Funeral services for Mr. Gilbert Gibby Auzenne, age 52, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Leo Cemetery.
Gilbert was born on August 8, 1959, to Gilbert and Wildred Theresa Payne Auzenne. He was a native of Lake Charles and lived most of his life in Opelousas. He served in the Army National Guards for many years. He passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011, in a local hospital in Lake Charles.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Kimble Auzenne four sons, Gilbert Dwayne Kimble Latasha, Christopher Kimble Mona, Johnathan Auzenne Christian of Opelousas and Antonio Auzenne of Lafayette stepsons, Gilbert Brown Tomika and Clayton Dargin Imelda of Opelousas stepdaughters, Melissa Dargin Dilward, Delainne Washington and Courtney Dargin of Sunset two brothers, Wayne Joseph Auzenne, Sr. Bertha of Lake Charles and Kenneth Auzenne Renae of Metairie two sisters, Dianna Goodly Carl and Annita Darlene Auzenne, both of Lake Charles 28 grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Theresa Auzenne and his granddaughter, Cynthia Ann Dargin.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011, in the St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville.
The family would like to thank Dr. C. Choucino and the Staff of Moss Regional Medical Center for all the care that they gave to Gilbert during his illness.
