Port Barre Funeral services for Mrs.Gertrude Doucet Stelly, age 75, will be held at 10: 00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, La.

Rev. Nicky Trahan will officiate the services.

Mrs. Gertrude was a native of and life time resident of Port Barre. She died on Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, Lafayette, La. at 10:10 pm.

Ms. Gertrude was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include her sons, George Wayne Stelly and wife Linda of New Iberia, Mason Olin Stelly and wife Sally of Krotz Springs, John Reynold Stelly and wife Janise of Opelousas, Garith Paul Stelly and wife Rebecca of Port Barre; Daughters, Pearl S Arnaud and husband Terry of Nederland, TX, Glenda S Cohen and husband Marvin of College Station, TX.; Brothers, Norcisse Doucet and wife Jessie, Alfred Doucet and wife Bernice, Sister, Marquerite Doucet Wyble; a Sister-In-Law, Adele B. Doucet. Ms. Gertrude is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

Mrs. Stelly was preceded in death by her husband, George Stelly; and her parents: Joachim Doucet and Armecia Janise Doucet; Sisters, Marie D. Higginbotham, Irene D. Guidroz, Yvonne D. Soileau, Cecile D. Leblanc, Louisiana D. Leger; Brothers, Jean Aldus Doucet, Jack Doucet, Paul Doucet, Belizare Doucet.

Visiting hours will be observed on Friday, November 30, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre beginning at 11:00 a.m with an all night wake until the time of services on Saturday.
