Gerard Vautrot

OpelousasFuneral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas for Mr. Gerard Frank Vautrot, known to many as Frank or Frankie. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Msgr. Keith J. DeRouen will officiate the services.
Mr. Vautrot was a native and longtime resident of Opelousas, LA. He passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette at the age of 55. He was a Jobber salesman for Savoie Sausage Kitchen of Opelousas for many years. He owned a furniture store, flea market and antique store in Opelousas. He would enjoy fishing and collecting coins and stamps, in his spare time. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Quebedeaux Vautrot of Opelousas two stepsons, Robbie Devillier of Scott and Joey Devillier of Abbeville one stepdaughter, Tracy D. Venable and husband, Joshua of Katy, TX three brothers, Francis Lloyd Vautrot, Jr. and wife, Diane of Ellijay, GA James K. Vautrot and wife, Janet of Opelousas and Louis Earl Vautrot and wife, Martha of Sour Lake, TX one sister, Catherine LaFleur of Opelousas and three step grandchildren, Gavin Devillier, Kylie Devillier, and Bailey Devillier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Lloyd Vautrot, Sr. and Vivianne Mae Richard Vautrot.
Visiting hours will be observed from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
