Gerard Melacon

Grand Coteau– Visitation for Gerard Melancon will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Grand Coteau. The family has requested that the Grave Side Service on September 9, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.

Gerard, age 56, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021 at United Health Care in Lafayette. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Gerard is survived by his brothers, Martin Melancon and wife, Robin, and Albert Melancon both of Sunset; sisters, Priscilla Ann Melancon of Sunset, Lorraine Melancon and husband, Eugene of Baton Rouge, Ella Lewis and husband, Wilfred of Carencro; and godchild, Sada Lasha Pitre of Sunset.

Gerard is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Roberta Melancon; brothers, Allen Charles Melancon and Dave Melancon.
