Georgia "Kitty" Veillon

Opelousas – A Funeral Service will be held for Georgia "Kitty" Maude Veillon on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Georgia, age 92, a resident of Opelousas, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her sons, Garrette Wayne Veillon and wife, Terry of Watson, LA, Keith James Veillon of Opelousas and Timothy Veillon and wife, Cheryl Veillon of Morgan City; daughters, Susan Marie Provost and companion, Pat Matte of Opelousas, Arleen Annette Thibodeaux and husband, James of Opelousas, Jennifer Ann Huckaby and husband, Thomas of Krotz Springs; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Veillon; daughters, Elizabeth Fern Manuel and Lisa Lynn Veillon; parents, Eugene McClelland and Evelyn Fontenot McClelland; brothers, Eugene McClelland, Jr., Robert S. McClelland and Roland McClelland; and sister, Julia “ZeeZee” McClelland.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelouas. The rosary will be recited Sunday at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
