Opelousas -A gathering of remembrance for Genevieve "Judy" Timmons Guillory will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2016, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Judy was a native of Washington and a resident of Arnaudville; she died on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at Lafayette General Hospital, at the age of 65. She enjoyed country music and playing yahtzee and spending time with her family. She is going to be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Roxanne Guillory and her husband, Matthew Lane, Jr, of Lafayette, Drucilla Leday and her husband Charles, of Opelousas, Mary Melancon of Lafayette, and Earl Melancon Jr. and his fiancée Leah Bellon, of Duson, LA, her companion Ronald "Pop Pop" Quebedeaux, of Arnaudville, her sister, Verna Dupre of Washington, brother, Joe Timmons of Picayune Miss.,10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Edeze Guidry Timmons, brothers, Henry and Mike Timmons, sister, Darlene Harris.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Thursday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
