Geneveive Jenny Soileau Hardy

Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Geneveive Jenny Soileau Hardy, 50, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Father Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the Mass.

Jenny was a native and life-long resident of Opelousas and died at Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette on Saturday, April 21, 2007, due to an automobile accident.

Jenny was employed as a nurse with Dr. Frederick Rodosta of Opelousas for 25 years. She was also a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church and a very devoted Catholic. She was a very strong woman who taught her family many lessons about what it means to be positive, optimistic and loving. She adored her family and they were most important in her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and caring friend to all who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed by everyone.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Mike Hardy of Opelousas; three sons, Chris Hardy and wife, Callie; Kyle Hardy and wife, Christie; and Justin Hardy, all of Opelousas; her parents: Leroy and Lou Ella T-Lou Fontenot Soileau of Opelousas; three brothers: Dale Soileau and wife, Gornel of Whiteville; Brent Soileau and wife, Cathy of Washington; and Timmy Soileau and wife, Madeline of Opelousas; and one grandchild, Cohen Hardy of Opelousas.
