Lawtell Funeral services for Mrs. Gail A. LeCompte, 68, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2007, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Father Dennis Osuagwu will conduct the services.

Mrs. LeCompte, a native of Frilot Cove, LA, and long time resident of Lawtell, died at Doctor's Hospital in Opelousas on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. She was a school teacher with the St. Landry Parish School Board for 37 years. She was recently teaching at Fran's Daycare for the past five years.

She was a very devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Hilton LeCompte of Lawtell; one son, Damon LeCompte and wife, Cheryl of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Mona Olive and husband, Jerry of Flower Mound, TX; one brother, Philbert Auzenne and wife, Barbara of Pasadena, CA; and one grandchild, Jeremy Olive of Flower Mound, TX.

Mrs. Gail was preceded in death by her parents: Edward Auzenne and Marie Auzenne.
