Funeral Services for Mrs. Frieda Thomas Belford, age 83, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dale Hensarling will officiate the services.

Burial will follow at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Greenville Cemetery in Greenville, Mississippi.

Mrs. Belford was a resident of Opelousas and died on Saturday, June 17, 2006, at her residence in Opelousas. She was a real estate broker since 1962. She was the owner of Belford Real Estate and was currently working with Southern Living Real Estate in Opelousas as an associate broker.

Survivors include one son, Curtis Gregory Greg Belford, Jr. of Coffeeville, MS; two daughters: Barbara Belford Burbage and husband, Gregory of Opelousas; and Deedra Belford Mims and husband, Frank of Clanton, AL; one brother, George Thomas and wife, Nellie Kate of Texarkana, TX; one sister, Marie Lou Maher and husband, Tommy of Texarkana, TX; five grandchildren: Tracey Danna Martin of Lafayette; Sissy Waldon of Milport, AL; John Robertson of Dallas, TX; Andrew Robertson of New Orleans; and Jackson Perry Robertson of Dallas, TX; and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 19, 2006, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Tuesday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, the Belford family requests that donations be made to the family to help defray the funeral expenses.
