Franklin Andrus

Opelousas- Funeral services for Franklin D. Andrus will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2016, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Franklin was a resident of Port Barre. He passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016, at Senior Village Nursing Home, at the age of 73. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being at the camp with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lalonde Andrus of Port Barre, children, Sandy Gilley and her husband, Jody of Port Barre, Sheila Mistric and her husband, Mac of Port Barre, Sue Benoit and her husband, Daryl of Lafayette, and Frankie Andrus and his wife, Angela of Baton Rouge, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, London and Beulah Martin Andrus, brothers, Raymond and Howard Andrus sisters, Eula Mae Taylor, Rose Duplechain and Belinda Duhon.

Visitation will be on Thursday February 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas.
