Grand Coteau Funeral services for Mr. Francis Lee Moten, known to many as Booba, age 43, will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Coteau. Interment will follow in Ring Zion Cemetery in Arnaudville, LA.
Rev. Kenneth Brown will officiate the services.
Mr. Moten was a native of Bellevue and lifelong resident of Lewisburg, LA. He passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette on November 6, 2013. He was a handyman and enjoyed cleaning cars and riding horses. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Francis gave the gift of life through organ donation and his family was honored for him to be a LOPA Donor.
Survivors include one son, Dominique Ledet and one daughter, Champagne Beverly, both of Crowley stepparents, who are also his uncle, David Little and aunt, Ida Little of Lewisburg one brother, Robert Moten of Lafayette 2 sisters, Pamela Green and husband, Eric of Opelousas and Latina Joseph and husband, Russell of Lafayette 4 stepbrothers, 4 stepsisters, his companion, Mary Frances Thomas of Melville his best aunt, Hazel Brooks his nanny, Laura Moten and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Sam and Mary Hester Scott grandparents, brother, nephew, and many aunts and uncles.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Sunday, November 16, 2013, from 7 a.m. until 9:00 a.m.
