Frances Dupre

Opelousas- Funeral service for Mrs. Frances Dupre will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Andrew Cemetery in Plaisance, LA. Deacon Chuck Ortego will officiate the service.

Frances, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, at the age of 94. She loved cooking, sewing, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Charles Dupre and his wife, Donna of Pecanier, Jay Manuel and his wife, Charmaine of Port Barre, Marty Dupre and his wife, Beth of Chataignier, Leander Dupre and his wife, Carolyn of North Carolina, daughters, Vicky Vidrine and her husband, Charles of Plaisance, Rita Briley of Ville Platte, Margaret Lafleur and her husband James of Plaisance, and Gloria Richard and her husband, Felton of Mamou, 22 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and 22 great -great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Salamon "Beb" and Edmona Godeaux Reviere, and her husband, Onezine Dupre, her children, Phyllis Faye Dupre and Chris Dupre.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of 3:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m.
