Frances Bellard

Opelousas-Funeral services for Miss Frances Charlene Bellard, known to many as "Charlene," will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre. Rev. Fr. Austin Leger will officiate the services.

Charlene was a native of Arnaudville and a longtime resident of Opelousas. She was currently residing in Palmetto, LA. She passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Tri-Community Nursing Home in Palmetto at the age of 60. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Joyce Boudreaux Bellard of Opelousas; three brothers, David Bellard, Sr. and wife, Paula of Lawtell; Larry P. Bellard and wife, Joyce of Zachary; and Ronald J. Bellard, Sr. and wife, Tammy of Opelousas; one sister, Susan B. Clardy of Opelousas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Noah Bellard, Jr.; sister, Sally B. LaCombe; brother, John Arthur Bellard; four nephews, Jacques Bellard, Joseph Bellard, Ronald J. "JR" Bellard, Jr., and David Bellard, Jr.; and two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Clardy and Ronald Bergeron.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. A Rosary service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
