Opelousas– A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Florine “Flo” Stelly on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville. Fr. Darren Eldridge will celebrate the Mass. A Private Inurnment will be held at St. Leo Cemetery.

Flo, age 72, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Lafayette General surrounded by her family.

Flo was the proud owner and operator of Flo’s Bar & Grill in Courtableau for 10 years. She enjoyed spending time at the camp going crabbing and cooking with family and friends. Flo cherished her grandchildren and loved making memories with them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Flo is survived by her husband, of 20 years, Todd J. Stelly of Leonville; her son, Kenward “Boo” Bernis of Lafayette; daughters, Deborah Ann Bernis of Breaux Bridge; twin brother, Floyd Landry and wife, Maria of Spring, TX; sisters, Mauggie Landry Pastor of Lafayette, Theresa Domgard and husband, Doug of Cankton, Betty Deffez and husband, Gerald of Covington; grandchildren, Natalie Person, Brandon Menard and Hunter Cormier; great-grandchildren, Vance and Elliot; sister-in-law, Cheryl Landry of Houston, TX and Amy Stelly of Arnaudville and a host of nieces and nephews.

Flo is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Maude Landry; father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Isabelle Stelly; brother, Billy Landry; sister, Catherine Landry Culotta; brother-in-law, Patrick Pastor.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. The rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening. The funeral home will reopen on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
