Florence Zeringue

Port Barre Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Zeringue, age 62, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville. Interment will follow in the St. Leo Cemetery Mausoleum.
Father Kenneth Domingue will celebrate the Mass.
Mrs. Zeringue, was a native of Grand Prairie and lifelong a resident of Pecaniere. She died on Thursday, July 8, 2010, in the Opelousas General Health System. She was a devoted wife of 44 years and a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed dancing and playing cards in her spare time. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Zeringue of Pecaniere two daughters, Lisa Speyrer and husband, Kyle of Plaisance and Tammy Theriot and husband, Shannon of Breaux Bridge son, Scott Zeringue and wife, Nicole of Pecaniere siblings, Shirley Guillory and Gussie Guidry, both of Port Barre grandchildren: Justin Speyrer and wife, Jamie Casey Speyrer, Brandon Speyrer and wife, Mallory Tiffani Speyrer, Allie Theriot, Katie Theriot, Nicholas Zeringue, Logan Zeringue, and William Zeringue greatgrandchildren: Christian, Hannah, Carson, and Wyatt Speyrer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmire Guidroz Guidry and Arthur Guidry, Sr. and two brothers, Arthur Guidry, Jr. and Russel Guidry.
Pallbearers will be Scott Zeringue, Shannon Theriot, Kyle Speyrer, Justin Speyrer, Brandon Speyrer, and Mike Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas and Logan Zeringue.
Visiting hours will be observed on Friday, July 9, 2010, beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing with an all night wake until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home.
