Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Noel, age 88, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2009, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Benny Reppond will officiate the service.

Mrs. Florence was currently residing in Walker, La but was a long time resident of Port Barre. She died on Monday, March 30, 2009, in Oschner Medical Center in Baton Rouge. Ms. Florence was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion of Port Barre. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and is going to be sadly missed by all that knew her.

Ms. Florence is survived by her daughters, Tandy Campanile and husband Ralph of Baton Rouge, Candy Rice of Walker and Dottie Purpera of Lakeland , La.; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edrop Blackie Savoie and Jules Noel; parents, Paul and Lula Hooks Peck; brothers, Dewey Thompson and Elliot Peck; sisters, Laura Guillory and Agnes Thompson.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, April 2, 2009, beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of services.
