Felecion Toupee Lalonde Zerangue

Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Felecion Toupee Lalonde Zerangue, 86, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, in the St. Landry Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial and burial will follow in Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum.

Msgr. Romero will conduct the services.

Mrs. Zerangue, native and life-long resident of Opelousas, died at 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2006, in the Lafayette General Medical Center. She was a receptionist at Opelousas General Hospital. Mrs. Felecion was a sales clerk at Abdallas for over 30 years.

Survivors include: one son, Larry Zerangue, Sr. and wife, Gaile of Opelousas; one sister, Mrs. Sterling Louise Zerangue of Opelousas; four grandchildren: Larry Zerangue, Jr. and wife, Marla; Keith Zerangue; Tiffany Chiasson and husband, Blaine; and Toni Zerangue; five great grandchildren: Kamin Zerangue, Alexandra and Ethan Chiasson; Isabelle and Ivy Jade Zerangue.

Mrs. Zerangue was preceded in death by her parents: Honore Lalonde and Edna Roy; her husband, Aldest J. Zerangue; one son, Kenneth Joseph Zerangue; four brothers: Adam, Joe, Ernest, and John Lalonde; and two sisters: Elzina Roy and Odile Moreau.

Pallbearers will be Larry Zerangue, Jr., Roy Elder, Allan Zerangue, Blaine Chiasson, Keith Zerangue, and Mike Stelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Kamin Zerangue and Ethan Chiasson.

Visiting hours will be observed from 1:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2006, in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Wednesday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home.
