Port Barre Graveside Funeral services for Mr. Evans Pete J. Breaux, Jr., 47, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2008, with interment following in the Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, LA.

Msgr. J. Anthony Luminais conducted the services.

Pete was born and raised in Westwego, and was a resident of Port Barre for the past two years. He died on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at his residence. He was an automobile mechanic for Steve's Auto Repair in Opelousas. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

Survivors include one son, Evans Breaux III of Ohio; one daughter, Heather Ann Breaux of Covington; two brothers: Clarence J. Breaux and fiance, Dana of Biloxi, Mississippi; and Elvis J. Breaux of Gulfport, Mississippi; one sister, Wanda Breaux Allemond and husband, Rodney of Port Barre; one grandchild, Caleb J. Rhodes of Covington; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Pete was preceded in death by his father, Evans J. Breaux, Sr., his mother, Edith Alleman Breaux; his sister, Darlene Breaux Reid; his maternal grandparents: Armand and Enola Alleman; and his paternal grandparents: Syndey and Albertine Breaux.

Visiting hours were observed from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2008, in the Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, LA.
