Eva Peggy Thibodeaux

Opelousas Funeral Services for Mrs. Eva Peggy Thibodeaux, age 73, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Pastor Benny Reppond will officiate the service.
Peggy fought her fight of faith with great determination and never gave up until her Savior came and said Well done good and faithful servant, come and enjoy the joys I have prepared for you. On Friday, March 21, 2014 Peggy stepped into the place called Heaven led by Jesus and presented unto her Heavenly Father with the words, Faithful unto the end. Peggy was a remarkable woman who loved her family with all her heart. She was the protector, counselor, caregiver, mom, grandmother and wife unto her husband Willie of 53 years. Peggy was a faithful member of Christian Life Center and served faithful as Church Secretary until her health prevented her from fulfilling her duties. Peggy loved to travel, face adventures with her family and friends she loved to paint, grow the most beautiful roses, write, take pictures, do ceramic figurines, sew, needlework but her greatest love was her husband, children, grandchildren, friends and Church. She is going to be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Her touch into the lives of those she met will never be forgotten.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Willie Thibodeaux of Opelousas, daughters, Kay Thibodeaux Buller and husband Don of Grand Prairie, Sandy Thibodeaux Landry of Prairieville, La. sons Kent Thibodeaux and wife Anne Marie of Grand Prairie, Brent Thibodeaux and wife Sarah of Grand Prairie, Billy Thibodeaux and wife Michelle of Grand Prairie brother, Felix Bordelon of Port Charlotte, FL. sisters, Vinola Dawsey of Opelousas, Jane Hutchison of Colorado Springs, CO. grandchildren, Dylan, Jade, Hannah Buller Kristen, Jordan, Drew Landry Mac, Austin Thidodeaux Ramsey, Mayce, Jayce Thidodeaux Dallas Thidodeaux, Elizabeth Vidrine and great grandchild, Skyler Gutweiler.


Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Yola Dupre Bordelon, brother, Curtis J. Bordelon sisters, Lounell Bordelon, Judy Bordelon, Versie Bordelon and Wilda Miller.

Pallbearers will be Kent, Brent and Billy Thibodeaux, Edward Hutchins, Dylan Buller and Mac Thibodeaux. Honorary Pallbearers will be Austin and Dallas Thibodeaux and Don Buller.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, March 23, 2014, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Rosary service will be held by Msgr. Louis Melancon followed by a Reflection Sunday night at 7:00 p.m.
