Eva Boudreaux

Melville Funeral services for Eva Duplechain Boudreaux, age 86, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. John Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Melville. Father Walker will celebrate the Mass.
She was a native of Carencro and a long time resident of Melville. She passed away on Tuesday February 14, 2012 in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.
Eva was a true and devoted Catholic that prayed the rosary every day. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed having her entire family over for dinner when ever possible. Eva will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Houston Boudreaux of Melville, one son, Gerald Joseph Boudreaux and wife, Kristy of Melville, two daughters, Patricia Regan and husband, Steve of Lafayette, Pauline Boudreaux of Dallas TX, one sister, Effie Duplechain of New Orleans, ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Felix and Anna Savoie Duplechain, daughter, Gail Artell, one brother, Evan Duplechain and two sisters, Elvina Stoute and Leona Soileau.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm in the Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday evening.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Melville on Thursday, February 16, 2012, from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. and will reopen on Friday morning at 8 am until time of service at 9:30 am.
