Eunice Monroe Boe Bryson

Port Barre Funeral services for Mr. Eunice Boe Bryson, age 84, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2008, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre. Rev. Joe Russo will conduct the service.

Boe was born in Bogota, TX, and was a long-time resident of Port Barre. He died on Thursday, April 17, 2008, at 10:40 p.m. in the Doctor's Hospital of Opelousas.

Boe was married to his loving wife, Mrs. Fannie for 63 years. He was a dedicated father to his children. In his lifetime, he was a hardworking man who worked as a Heavy machine Operator. He was retired from the Operator's Local Union 406 of Baton Rouge. He was a devoted family man and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII who proudly served his country. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion of Port Barre. He was also a member of the Disabled Veteran Association.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fannie Gaudet Bryson of Port Barre; his son, Marcel Bryson and wife, Erma of Alba, TX; his daughter, Barbara DeVillier and husband, Jack of Port Barre; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Wally Andrus of Port Barre; four grandchildren: Traci Adams and husband Randy; Denise Hurley and husband, Tommy; Brandy Guerra and husband, Alex; and Joshua Bryson; and five great-grandchildren: Emily, Boe, and Macy Hurley; and Sara and Randy Boy Adams. He also has a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Preceded in death by his parents: Harvey Nevall Bryson and Winnie Lavada Scoggins Bryson; two brothers: Joseph Bryson and Troy Bryson; and one sister, Katheryn Butler.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Saturday, April 19, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. until 2 p.m.
