Eula Fontenot

Opelousas A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2013, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel for Eula Mae Courville Fontenot. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Fr. Paul will officate the service.
Eula Mae was a native of Eunice and longtime resident of Opelousas. She died peacefully surrounded by her family at Senior Village Nursing Home on August 21, 2013, at the age of 83 she would have celebrated her 84 birthday on Monday August 26, 2013.
Survivors include her loving husband, Mr. Dudley Fontenot of Opelousas, sons, Donald Fontenot and wife, Barb of Omaha Nebraska, Bookie Fontenot and wife, Kathy of Opelousas, Barbara Fontenot Richard and husband, Lucien Richard, Jr. of Leonville, Sharon Fontenot DeViller and husband, Lenny DeVillier of Opelousas, brother, Jules Courville and wife, Bobbie of Lake Charles, sisters in law, Berna Courville of Opelousas, and Agnes Courville, of Lake Charles, grandchildren, Elizabeth Cassano, Lucien Richard III, Kellie Flynn, Kerry Fontneot, Hollie DeViller Guillory, Debra Guidroz, Christina Arnold, Nicholas Fontenot, and Melissa Taylor, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Eula Mae was a wonderful and loving mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Eula was also a great cook she enjoyed cooking for her familys gatherings. In pervious years she and her husband were owners of Fontenots Conoco Service Station in Opelousas. Eula Maes favorite pastimes included playing cards and playing at the Casinos.
She was preceded in death by parents, Adam and Amanda Thibodeaux Courville, her grandson, Lenny P. DeViller, Jr., great grandson Devon Joseph Richard, her brothers, Dalbert and Douglas Courville, sisters, Alozia Courville and Zelda Boyer.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, August 23, 2013, from 9 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in the funeral home.
