Port Barre -A Memorial service for Eugene Roy Taylor will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Br. Eldon Reeves will conduct the service.

Eugene was a resident of Port Barre, he died on Monday, February 27, 2016, at his home in Port Barre, at the age of 70. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Deola Soileau Taylor of Port Barre, son, Chad Taylor of Port Barre, daughter, Lisa Hatfield and her husband, R.L. of Denham Springs, sister, Dora Hollier of Port Barre, grandchildren, Karli Jordan and Sophia Beard, and great grandson, Hayden Nezat.

Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Jr., and Eleanor Savoie Taylor, brother, Donald Taylor, sisters, Kathleen Taylor and Deloris Taylor.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
