Etheline Moore

Opelousas- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Etheline Moore at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point; visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until time of service in the church with a rosary at 9:00 a.m. Fr. Landry will conduct the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the Our Mother of Mercy Cemetery (New) in Church Point.

Etheline, age 64, a resident of Church Point, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019.

She is survived by children, Lucas Moore of Church Point, Joseph Hilton Moore and his wife, Angela of Bellevue, and Mary Moore Etienne and her husband, Franics of Opelousas; father of her children, Joseph Clyde Moore of Sunset; brothers, Joseph Wallace Citizen and his  wife, Anna Joyce of Church Point, John Warren Citizen of Church Point, Joseph Richard Citizen of Lake Charles, and Joseph Larry Citizen of Rayne; sisters, Leota Citizen of Houston, TX, Mary Jane Bias of Sulpher,  Josephine Chavis and her husband, James of Church Point, Velma Ann Eaglin of Sulpher, Elvina Carrier  and her husband, Joseph Floyd of Church Point; grandchildren, De’Shawn Wheeler, Jamarcus Moore, Jerimiah Moore, Bianca Dixon, Bry’Ana Moore, Madison Etienne; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter J. and Josephine Citizen; brother, Joseph Hilton Citizen.
