Grand Coteau Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel G. Guilbeau age 89, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday March 5, 2009 at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment in the St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. The Reverend Frank Ducharme will conduct the service.

Mrs. Guilbeau was a native of Cankton and a long time resident of Carencro. She passed away on Monday March 2, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Mrs. Guilbeau was a homemaker and a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She Will be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include one son , Robley Guilbeau, Sr. of Carencro; brothers: Sidney Guidry of Lafayette; and Edward Guidry of Sunset; sister, Letty Lagrange of Carencro; grandchildren: Joe Guilbeau of Carencro; Beverly LeJeune of Lafayette; Shari Robicheaux of Lafayette; Robley Guilbeau, Jr. of Port Barre; Ray Guilbeau of Port Barre; Elizabeth Wright of Thonotosassa, FL; and nine great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Fabien Guilbeau; parents, John and Ellain Trahan Guidry; and grandson, James Guilbeau.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Wednesday March 4, 2009 from 3:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
P A Rosary service will be held on Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home by Deacon Gary Gaudin.S
