Ethel Barron Doucet

Port Barre Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Barron Doucet, 82, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2007, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Father Nicky Trahan will conduct the services.

Mrs. Doucet was a resident of Port Barre and died at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at her residence.

Survivors include five sons: Joseph Percy Junior Doucet, Jr. and wife, Dorothy Dot of Arnaudville; Weston Doucet and wife, Sarah Red of Port Barre; Felton Doucet and wife, Natalie Ann of Fannett, TX; James Doucet and wife, Shirley of Cecilia; Robert Lee Buzzard Doucet and wife, Judy of Port Barre; three daughters: Louella Soileau and husband, Leo of Port Barre; Elaine Tiny Campbell and husband, Robert of Port Barre; and Peggy Taylor and husband, Paul Wayne Taylor of Pecaniere; one brother, Delma Barron of Saquette; two sisters: Pearl LaCombe and Bernice Lalonde, both of Port Barre; 27 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Doucet was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Percy Doucet, Sr.; her parents: Marshall Barron and Mathilda Soileau Barron; four brothers: Lennis, Allen, John, and Willis Barron; and one sister, Kathleen LaFleur.

Visiting hours will be observed on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. with an all night wake in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre until the time of services on Thursday. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
