Opelousas Funeral services for Eric Joseph Myers, age 15, will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 31, 2011, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington. Father Albert Nunez will officiate the Mass.
Eric was resident of Opelousas. He passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Opelousas General Health System, surrounded by his family.
Survivors include his parents Denise Myers and Blake Plonsky of Opelousas, and Chad Myers of Port Barre, maternal grandparents, Doris and Patrick Lafleur, paternal grandparents, Don and Carol Standford, of Opelousas, and Kenneth Myers, paternal great grandmother, Mildred Myers of Opelousas, sisters, Sydni and Lila Myers of Opelousas.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, December 30, 2011, from 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM and will reopen on Saturday morning at 8:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM
A rosary service will be held Friday evening at 7:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.
