Opelousas A Mass of Christian burial for Emile Boe Dupre age 92, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, in Immaculate Conception Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, La. Father Jared Suire will celebrate the Mass.
He passed away on November 1, 2014. Emile was a long time resident of Nuba, and had just recently moved to Lafayette. He was a rural mail carrier in Washington, LA., for 42 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the casino to play the slots, going to Raynold Soileaus camp to play Bourre, getting together with his family and friends. He was an usher at the Immaculate Conception Church as well as the President of the ABW School Board from 1979 to 1987. Most recently, he enjoyed working with his family at his daughters embroidery company.
Emile is survived by his daughters, Janice Dupre Hargroder of Washington, Brenna Dee Lalonde and her husband, Byran of Lafayette, 8 grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
Emile was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Mae Soileau Dupre, his parents, Alfred and Regina Fontenot Dupre, his sisters, Lou Anna Dupre Sylvester, Lor Dupre Soileau and Mable Dupre Darbonne.
Pallbearers will be John Saucier, Brandon Myers, Brach Myers, Derek Hargroder, Derek Talley, and Myles DuBose.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Wednesday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening in the Funeral Home.
The family would like the thank Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care for their care, and Dr. John Mickey and his staff.
