nbsp;Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Elvee Henry Thomassee, Sr., 77, will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2006, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas and burial will follow in the Bertrand Family Cemetery in Prairie Rhonde.

Rev. Benny Reppond will conduct the services.

Mr. Thomassee was a native of Mallet, LA, and a long-time resident of Opelousas. He died at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2006, in the Maison De Ville Nursing Home of Opelousas. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
br
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Wilma Lyons Thomassee of Opelousas; one son, Elvee H. Thomassee, Jr. and wife, Theresa Lavergne Thomassee of Washington; two daughters: Wilda Andrus and husband, Dallas of Opelousas; and Nancy Stelly and husband, Wilman of Washington; and a host of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Mr. Elvee was preceded in death by his parents, George Thomassee, Sr. and Antoinette Vasseur Thomassee; two sons: Calvin Thomassee and James Kenneth Richard; three brothers: George Thomassee, Jr., Harrison Thomassee, and Fedorian Thomassee; and four sisters: Leola Dupre, Lina Willingham, Angelina Vandergriff, and Dora Riggles.

Visiting hours will be observed from 11 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2006, in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
