Opelousas - Funeral service will be held for Elvee H. Thomassee, Jr., age 59 at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2015, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in Bertrand Cemetery in Prairie Ronde, LA. Father Austin Leger will officiate the Service.

Elvee was a resident of Opelousas. He passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. He enjoyed riding motorcycles. Elvee worked for the La. Department of Transportation in the Engineering Department.

Survivors include his companion, Theresa Lavergne; sisters, Wilda Andrus of Opelousas, and Nancy Stelly of Washington, La.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvee and Wilma Lyons Thomassee, Sr.


The visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2015.
A Rosary service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home.
